Dr. Kira Shurtz joined Pelvic Wellness Center in 2017. She graduated from Brigham Young University in 2009 with a B.S. in Biology and then attended The University of Pittsburgh to obtain her Doctor of Physical Therapy Degree in 2013. Since joining Pelvic Wellness Center, Dr. Shurtz has focused her practice to include pre- and post-natal care, bowel and bladder care, pelvic pain, and dance rehabilitation. She was classically trained at Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet and had the opportunity to teach for them throughout high school and the summers during her undergraduate education. She also has been trained in tap, clogging, and various folk styles during her time at Brigham Young University. Dr. Shurtz’s passion lies in helping her patients return to the activities they love most. She believes in giving her patients the tools they need to heal, grow, and increase their fitness levels.
Dr. Shurtz is deeply passionate about fitness and can be found teaching group fitness classes when she is not at Pelvic Wellness Center as a pelvic health specialist. In her spare time, Kira enjoys spending time with her husband and kids, traveling, hiking, and rock climbing.
